"Professionalism and academic excellence will be the benchmark by which nursing and health services will be valued and respected. It is my belief that as nurses and women become more involved in politics in our countries, we will discover the benchmark where effective nursing leadership will become the vehicle that will influence and shaped standards of nursing practice and health policy in our respective countries.
