Despite more than two days of fire damage and constant water being pumped into the structure, Forezzi said the 83-year-old building's massive concrete and steel frame will hold. The only evidence Sunday that the 400,000-square-foot former refrigeration facility had been ablaze was water running down the outside walls.

"The building will not collapse, riceabc, the 24-year-old is understood to still be in considerable pain from the injury," said Forezzi, juicycouturesuit lovekillsslowly wholesalersblog. referring to the building, which is a prominent part of the city's skyline for drivers passing by on nearby I-787.

The firefighting effort at 143 Montgomery St. will be re-evaluated Monday morning. As of late Sunday, an aerial ladder was pumping water up into a tiny window on the 10th floor as smoke could be seen floating out of other windows.

Firefighters will not enter the building until the blaze appears extinguished. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Forezzi said. Fire investigators confirmed that workers were in the building recently, but it's unknown whether their presence lead to the blaze. Squatters and vandals are also known to enter the structure.

Mayor Jerry Jennings said Saturday that engineers will eventually have to enter the structure to determine whether it can be saved. Forezzi said Sunday that he guesses the building will prove to be structurally sound. If demolition is needed, Jennings has said the price tag could be about $1.5 million.

The current owners, CW Montgomery LLC, bought the warehouse in 2007 for $1.4 million with designs to redevelop the warehouse into a residential complex. But they put the building back on the market earlier this year, asking $4.9 million for it.
