Give regulator some teeth
Can anyone tell me why we have OFGEM which is supposed to be an independent recorder of the price we pay for gas and electricity?
It is paid by the energy companies to carry out research, but has no teeth to change prices at all?

If I were the Prime Minister, I would be looking at the suppliers' profit margins and if ridiculously high I would order them to either lower them considerably or forbid them from selling in this country any longer, period!
The Government watches the quiet reaction of the public, then the decision goes through, then people arrange mass demonstrations and then it's adjusted - this is not a Government with acumen. This is a lunatic regime that should be got rid of pronto!
