Officers heard gunshots in the area of Delia and Crestview avenues at 12 a.Back Replica Submariner Rolex Kellot.m. Jan. 1 and apprehended a West Akron man who was armed with a gun. He was arrested for discharging a firearm. Several people in a Delia Avenue backyard were ordered to put their hands up, and a Mogadore man who refused was arrested for obstruction of official business. Another West Akron man was arrested for discharging a firearm when he admitted to having a gun and firing it.

Officers patrolling a known drug area at South Hawkins Avenue and Al-Kaf Way Jan. 2 around 5:45 p.m. pulled over a motorist making suspicious movements in a vehicle and arrested the Canton man for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

A Pennsylvania man was arrested Jan. 2 around 10 p.m. for OVI after motorists reported a reckless driver on Interstate 77. The suspect was arrested at St. Michaels Avenue and Copley Road, where he was found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle. A passenger reportedly had to smack him in the head twice to rouse him when officers came to the window. The suspect failed a field sobriety test.

A West Akron man was charged with felony carrying a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property Jan. 5 after he reportedly was found to be in possession of a stolen gun at a Bodine Court location.

A West Akron man was charged with felony counts of vandalism, theft and willful flee Jan. 6 after he and an accomplice allegedly took the siding off a Hammel Street building and took it to a Bank Street location. Officers attempted to stop the suspect in his vehicle, but he led officers on a chase ending at Interstate 77 North and East Avenue. The suspect lost control of his vehicle and hit a cruiser at the exit. He also was found to be driving on a suspended license.

A woman reported her vehicle stolen Jan. 7 from the 400 block of North Hawkins Avenue. It was found at Manchester Road and Clearview Avenue and had been set on fire.

A West Akron man was charged with felony domestic violence, domestic violence menacing and child endangering Jan. 7. The day before, he allegedly assaulted the victim while holding a 3-month-old child at a Bluestone Avenue location.
