New memorial dedicated to Gulf War veterans

So today, Perez was there as her city unveiled a monument honoring the Gulf War in time for the 20th anniversary of the United States' battle with Iraq over its invasion of Kuwait.
"People are beginning to realize, after a long time, everything we did," Perez said. "We're being recognized, just like World War II and Vietnam vets, for all of our hard work."
In 2008, the City of Boynton Beach began erecting monuments at Veterans' Bicentennial Park honoring soldiers of American wars. Today,The compact fluorescent light bulb are very popular with the men around the world. it was Gulf War vets who were thrust into the spotlight.

In 1991, Bosco was about to retire from the military when the United States entered the Gulf War. Instead of retiring, Bosco found himself in Kuwait.
"We were quick, we were in there and we were out of there," said Bosco, who believes the United States' quick and efficient preparation will be a lasting legacy of the Gulf War. "We showed them our superiority of war time. Even our military could not imagine what had come about. We got there in such a record time, with so much equipment on board. It was just amazing to see it all in action."
Victory in the Gulf War took just months, but Bosco said the United States might have been better off extending the war.
"Once I got to really reflect, I see how a friendly nation such as Saudi Arabia treated their people,Huge selection of gaga-deals for your garde," Bosco said. "Then you think about what Iraq was doing to the Kuwaitis.
