Local England native reacts to news of royal engagement


Years of anticipation ended today when Prince William, heir to the British throne, officially announced he will marry Kate Middleton next spring or summer. As the world watches the details of their planned nuptials unfold, News10 has reaction stateside.jerseys Watches sell at lowest prices.

England native Sam Leamy gets his dose of news before his bartending shift at Albany's Bier Garten.

Leamy said, "I woke up, I always check BBC website every day just to get the news back home." Enter an explosion of reports about the engagement of Prince William to longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton.

"I actually proposed to Kate Middleton a while ago and she said no. She obviously likes receding hair lines better than my full head of hair," joked Leamy.

He may be only kidding, but the attention on Kate is no joke.
