Trio leads Wharton's defense

TAMPA During film session every week,Trailer wheel hubs play an essential role in towing anything. Wharton High football defensive coordinator Danny Persaud watches a reoccurring scene with no surprise.

The same group of players will make the bulk of tackles, either individually or altogether.

"They show up every week," Persaud said.

Entering Week 9 of the 2010 season, those players, Wharton seniors Bradley Prior, Tanner Stocker and Mani Oladapo, are among the top in Hillsborough County. Prior, a 6-foot-1, 180 pound linebacker, is ranked among the top tacklers in the state with his team-best 96 tackles.

Oladapo (5-10, 150 lbs.), a free safety, has 64 tackles while Stocker (6-2,I have had some unforgettable times with Ireland, buytruckparts. 190) plays strong safety has 73 tackles. Stocker has two interceptions, Oladapo has one interception and Prior has three sacks.

"We play in the box a few times and coach has us looking at different reads to make the play," Stocker said.

"We all understand what we have to do on the field," Oladapo said. "We know we can lean on each other. If I can't get the tackle, I know Bradley will be there and if he can't make it, Tanner will be there."

Of their total tackles, nearly half are assisted.

"When somebody makes the tackle, we all come in," Prior said.

"They got each other on everything," Persaud said. "Normally you see two of the three (making a play) and sometimes it's three of three."

But this menacing trio didn't magically come together. Each player had to make adjustments and play at new positions until it worked to perfection.

Persaud said Prior played weakside linebacker last season, but felt it wasn't giving him the opportunity to be the playmaker he is capable of.mini electric car Fun But Quirky During My Short Test Drive.

"His main thing is he likes to go after anybody," Persaud he said. "If he didn't get to the quarterback, he'd hit somebody else.Sony SSC-DC374 Color ccd surveillance camera."

Oladapo, who lived in Maryland last season due to a family situation, played cornerback until he was moved to free safety and Stocker, who was the team's quarterback as a sophomore,Five days from the kick-off,pumpabc. made the transition to defense last season.

"I felt that's where (Stocker) was more effective," Persaud said.

Persaud is confident each player will play collegiately, either at the Division I, Division I-AA or Division II level.
